Periodic scheduled routine maintenance is the best way to assure continued dependability of any electromechanical piece of equipment. Most of the leading manufacturers of laboratory, and environmental test equipment recommend at least two Planned Maintenance inspections per year, performed by qualified technicians.
At your request Advanced Environmental Service & Installation Group, Inc. will provide a no-cost survey of the equipment that we cover and make recommendations on those items that should be considered for a Planned Maintenance Program. We will also provide a no-obligation quotation for a Planned Maintenance contract that is design to meet your equipment needs. We will write a SOP which will be used by our service technicians at each inspection. This will include a point by point check list which will be furnished with the service report for you records at the completion of each inspection.
Our semi-annual and quarterly inspection program consists of cleaning all mechanical and electrical components on each unit, and lubricating motors and drives as required. Heater elements, compressors, and fan motors are checked for correct amperage draw. Door seals, gaskets, hinges, and latches are inspected for excessive wear. Governing temperature controls, chart recorders, and safety thermostats will be tested for accuracy. Steam generators will be flushed and inspected. Mechanical air driers will be inspected and checked for performance and operation. Refrigeration systems will be cleaned, leak checked and checked for proper operation and pull down.
Ice is removed from ultra low temperature storage freezer sub lids and breaker strips to prevent lid distortion and to assure refrigeration efficiency. All CO2 and LN2 backup systems are tested, and backup alarm batteries are replaced annually. Refrigeration systems are tested for specified temperature, voltage, and current draw. Air filters, and air-cooled condensers are cleaned.
CO2 incubator gas systems are leak checked. CO2 control accuracy in chambers is verified using a Bacharach fyrite gas analyzer. Air pumps are checked for output pressure accuracy. Air and gas filters are inspected and replaced when deemed necessary, for the cost of the parts. Gas tubing connections are inspected for proper fit.
If any repairs are found to be deemed necessary as a result of our Planned Maintenance inspection, a written proposal will be provided for your approval of the recommended repairs.
